NO FCRA USE. Fairfield County Criminal History is privately operated and has no affiliation with a government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The site points readers to Fairfield County and South Carolina record resources. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independent of every government office. It does not store official criminal files, order an official check, retrieve a record, or submit paperwork for a visitor.

Its content identifies Fairfield County Sheriff channels, criminal courts, SLED, and the South Carolina Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect readers with optional third-party tools. Public-body record access is governed by the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act, S.C. Code §§30-4-10 et seq. SLED's criminal-record duties and fee authority arise under §§23-3-110 and 23-3-115. Nothing in these terms changes those official procedures.

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use site content or a linked tool to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or discriminate against another person. South Carolina Sex Offender Registry data warrants special care. S.C. Code §23-3-510 can increase punishment when registry information is used to commit a crime. Registry access supports public safety awareness, not vigilantism or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Fairfield County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It creates no credit report, background check, or consumer report. Its advertising partners are not presented as services for evaluating applicants, insurance, housing, or credit. You agree not to use site or linked-tool data to:
